The song sees Rina discussing feeling displaced from Japan and wondering if this is how her parents felt when they were immigrants in London. It plays into the themes of familial trauma and legacy brought up by Dynasty.
For this redesign, I drew inspiration from Rina’s Japanese heritage and the personal story behind her music. My goal was to preserve the edgy yet melancholic tone she conveys throughout the song.
